Lord Brahma turned himself into a swan and flew high seeking the crown but failed to do so. He caught a flower of Pandavas that had fell from Lord Shiva’s crown. He claimed that he had found the crown of the fire and asked the flower to act as a false witness.

Lord Shiva was angry with his false act and said that he will never be worshipped in the temple. Lord Vishnu took the form of a boar and started going deep underground searching for the root of the fire and this impressed Lord Shiva.
