The Imperial temple built on the Yadavagiri hills has a square shaped sanctum with the idol of Cheluvarayaswamy also known as Thirunarayana or Cheluvapille Raja the manifestation of Lord Vishnu.

The Pious Pilgrimage place for Jains boasts of its world’s tallest monolithic Lord Gomateshwara stone statue carved out of single granite block. Bahubali was the first of the 24 Tirthankaras in Jainism.

The 57 feet tall statue of Lord Bahubali is also popular for the head anointing ceremony called Mahamastakabhisheka held once in 12 years.
