These structures exhibit the unique combination of the fort’s architectural style that has been influenced by the preferences of different rulers and colorful architectural designs.

You will also find confluences of Gujarati and Mughal architectural styles in the style of the fort. The semi-western influences in the architecture of the fort were brought in during the rule of Maharaja Ganga Singh. These holy rats are known as kabbas.

On any given day you would see people from all over the world who have traveled a great distance to visit the temple, filming of documentaries and scholars trying to research on the rats and the validity of their reverence. Marvelous tales and legends surround the temple and the rats that live here, but no one knows for sure as to how this unique temple came to be.
